A cold winter seems not a good time to plan the next vacation. But if someone is interested in it, he could take a look at the top ten dirtiest hotels compiled by the website TripAdvisor. Sure, what someone thinks is dirty someone else can think it is not, but in this case every hotel vote is accompanied by comments and sometimes even by photos.
On the website you can find the ten dirtiest hotels in Europe. The winner is the United Kingdom to which the specialists have given the primacy of the nation that care less of hygienically sanitary rules. At the head of the ranking there is the Grosvenor Hotel in Blackpool, but if you take a look to the comments it soon becomes clear that luck plays a fundamental role. Some people complain bedbugs in mattresses (something that happens very often in almost all the comments on these "dirtiest hotel in the world), but there are some who wonders why people give negative comments, since the hotel is a two stars and thus provides a treatment of two stars hotel. Of course, finding waste in the sink and a stained quilt should not really fall in a two stars treatment.
The second place in the ranking was won by Villaggio Club Porto Ainu of Budoni, Sardinia. Perhaps not surprisingly the same village also gets first place in the ranking of the dirtiest hotel in Italy. Despite the picture framing the village with the wonderful sea of Sardinia, hotel guests are unique: do not repeat the same mistake. Some say they have found garbage all around the village, someone claims a cleaning almost non-existent, someone says people were not professional and someone else announced he sued them because it wasn't a holiday but a nightmare.
The third place of the worst hotels in Europe has earned, deservedly, the Park Hotel in London. And there is someone among the comments who said to be "amazed that there are two hotels in Europe considered dirtier than this one." Photos in this case helps to get an idea, with tiny and dirty rooms, uncovered electric wires and poor service.
The second hotel in the Italian ranking is the Hotel Repubblica in Rome. One of the tourist who stayed there writes that "the best thing is the web site".
In France, the capital, Paris has 8 out of 10 worse hotel of the country. Someone was busted 30 times in one night by bedbugs. On the website there are the dirtiest hotels in the United States, too, and the winner is the Heritage Marina in San Francisco, of which a customer says "water dripping from the ceiling of the bathroom, meeting prostitutes in the corridors and the sheets smelling of tobacco".
We must not forget that the infamous victory is given by the members of the site TripAdvisor,
and then, although in some cases there are photos and descriptions with the reviews, maybe there are some people who may be going down
heavier than they should. Managers of hotels, which definitely do not like this kind of advertising, are in revolt and accuse the site not to check the reliability of the authors of comments published.
So if
you have low claims, you don't want to spend too much (but this not always happens with these hotels) or you want to give a second chance to
these dirtiest hotels, you could try them for yourself. And hope not to have to leave negative comments.
