twitter_lookingfortranslatorsYou are curious about Twitter, but you have not tried yet because you believe that your written English is not up to it? You can understand it perfectly, it would be perfect if someone would translate it. Maybe it's time to do it. Twitter is looking for someone who will translate it into French, Italian, German and Spanish. So it put an ad on the blog site.

A small group of volunteers are translating the site. As more folks volunteer, the translation suggestions should accumulate faster and they'll have enough material to make Twitter available not only in English and Japanese but also in French, Italian, German and Spanish. Then we will see if this social network will have the same success than Facebook when it has been translated, for example, in Italian. In our country very few people used it until it was available only in English. But translation, then, led to a big explosion of the phenomenon.

But what the "volunteer translators" of the microblogging platform will get in return for their work? Every translator will receive a special badge on their profile with a range of levels (from 1 to 10) depending on the amount and reliability of the translations carried out .
At the moment they decided to focus only on these four languages, but Twitter does not exclude, thanks to its volunteers, to be translated into other languages in the future. It has as many as 50 million members that use it and they are excited of it. So it should not be difficult to find someone with some free time who knows a foreign language. At that point, in Italy it could start the mania of messages: texts AKA "tweet" of 140 characters. And, it's sure, everyone will want to take part in it.
