Subversive judge writing equality before the law, cartoon by VauroBerlusconi goes delirious at the Congress of the European People's Party and nobody replies because basically the European right admire and envy him. Nobody like him has managed to achieve such power, so as to survive in any scandal, keeping up just the illusion of democracy, thanks to the propaganda on television, an inspiring example for the world of dictators. Italian judges prosecuting him are communist, his refrain is always the same.

The latest in a series of coordinated attacks against the judiciary in the last two days. By the Minister for Justice, which states that judges do not cooperate, and by undersecretary Mantovano, saying that judges do their best to boycott the security decree. The Superior Council of Judiciary meanwhile, sees elements of unconstitutionality in the law on the short trial. The House refuses to authorize the arrest of government member Cosentino, accused of collusion with Mafia.
What is happening in Italy is actually very simple, and both here and in Europe, anyone can see it with his eyes, if he wants to see. The judiciary is simply trying to defend according to the Constitution the basic rule of law and separation of powers. Berlusconi and his allies, both in his majority and in part of the opposition, cannot tolerate an independent judiciary. Berlusconi wants a single power in the state, his own. The parliament has already been submitted to the executive power through an electoral law in which representatives are chosen by the parties and not by the people. To eliminate the power of the judiciary as an independent one, they are working. Pending their destruction threatened every day, the poor Italian judges cannot do anything but continue to do their duty. So they have no other choice but to raise hundreds of exceptions of unconstitutionality against a racist law as the security decree, which spits out the basic principles of the Constitution. They have no choice but to point out that all the laws of this government are unconstitutional. And they will continue to do so until they will not be deprived of the capacity to do so.
Why do they do it? Because the ideas and interests of Berlusconi are unconstitutional. It's unconstitutional to reject refugees, unconstitutional to imprison innocent, unconstitutional, violating a referendum to build nuclear power plants, unconstitutional transfer legislative power in the executive, unconstitutional the short trial to save the boss, unconstitutional inequality before the law: almost everything this government did and wants to do is unconstitutional. Not to mention the close ties with the mafias.
But you know, the judges are Communists and even the Constitution is communist. And so, with the distraction of the European Parliament that rejected the motion on press freedom in Italy, we will soon be a state with a constitution written in Arcore and judges chosen by the government. It is not easy to stop this plan for the destruction of democracy in a country where television propaganda does everything to keep people in ignorance and pretend that all is well. The best we can hope for is worsening. That eventually the citizens will be able to see for themselves a country without justice, and with an increasingly precarious and ruined economy.
